Couples Counselling

Relationships can be complicated. You may find yourselves having the same arguments, struggling to communicate, or feeling distant from one another.

In my practice, I use an Emotionally Focused approach to help couples slow these patterns down and look at what is happening underneath them.

We explore the emotions, needs and experiences that can be difficult to put into words, and how these can shape the way you respond to one another.

My aim is to help you understand your relationship in a different way, so that you can begin to feel more heard, understood and connected.

Couples counselling can be helpful if you are:

  • finding communication difficult
  • having repeated arguments
  • feeling disconnected from each other
  • struggling to express your needs
  • finding yourselves caught in the same cycle
  • wanting to strengthen your relationship

Sometimes the problem isn’t that you don’t care about each other, it is that you have become stuck in a pattern that makes it difficult to feel heard, understood and connected.

My role is to help you slow things down, understand what is happening between you and find new ways of relating to one another.

Following your individual sessions, you will attend couples counselling sessions together.
