Supervision

Counselling Supervision; A Reflective and Collaborative Space.

Counselling supervision with me is not something that happens across a formal divide. It is a shared reflective space; a place to pause, think, and make sense of your work together.

In supervision, we do more than review caseloads or meet professional requirements. We attend to the lived experience of your work. We notice what feels meaningful, what feels difficult, and what is emerging beneath the surface of your practice.

In our work together, we are interested in how you experience your work from the inside out, not just what is happening, but how it is felt, understood, and carried by you as a practitioner.

The Philosophy of My Counselling Supervision

  • A shared inquiry, not a hierarchy. Supervision is a collaborative space where we think together. We sit alongside one another to reflect on your work rather than one person directing the other.
  • Lived experience and meaning. We focus on how your work feels and is experienced in the moment. We make space for reflection, uncertainty, insight, and emerging meaning rather than fixed answers.
  • Existential and depth-informed perspective. My approach is influenced by existentialism, existential phenomenology, and depth psychology. We explore not just what is happening, but how it is experienced and understood by you as a practitioner.
  • Supporting practitioner identity. Supervision supports both your clinical work and your development as a therapist, including confidence, uncertainty, and your evolving therapeutic voice.

Rooted in Ethics, Nourished by Soul

Counselling supervision with me always honours professional ethical frameworks, including NCPS guidance, to ensure safe and accountable practice.

Alongside this, I also hold supervision as a reflective space where professional responsibility and personal meaning can sit together. It is a place to think carefully about your work, while also staying connected to your own sense of purpose and presence as a practitioner.
