At the heart of my work is a person-centred foundation. Because of this, I aim to provide a non-judgmental space where you can think openly, feel heard, and explore your experiences at your own pace.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Jungian therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis, creative therapy approaches, and solution-focused thinking. This allows our work together to remain flexible and responsive to your individual needs.

However, I see therapy as a shared process rather than an advice-led one. I work best with clients who are open to curiosity, reflection, and self-exploration. Together, we can explore patterns, deepen understanding, and support your sense of agency and direction.

Click here to book a free initial consultation call or ask any questions you may have about counselling, or here to find more information on how I work as an Integrative counsellor.

Leigh Wright Counselling

@leighwrightcounselling

Integrative Accredited Counsellor 🌿 Integrative Creative Supervisor 🪢 Person-Centred Core ✨ Counselling Teacher 👩🏼‍🎓 Workshop Creator 💻

<img fetchpriority="high" class="zoom-instagram-link zoom-instagram-link-new" data-src="https://leighwrightcounselling.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/755692925_18060206393768700_3535464692847337750_n-320x320.jpg" data-mfp-src="18100656638601443" width="320" height="320" alt="🎨 A challenge for my fellow counsellors...

I've had a go at creating what the Drama Triangle and the Empowerment Dynamic look like to me using a random collection of stickers, colours and doodles.

Here's the challenge... The beautiful dress, the carriage, the confidence to step into a different life, it was all gone in an instant.

For many people with PMDD, it can feel like midnight arrives every single month.

One day you're laughing, making plans, feeling capable and connected to yourself.

Then "midnight" comes.

Your thoughts become darker. Your emotions become overwhelming. You question your relationships. You lose confidence. You struggle to recognise yourself.

The difference is that Cinderella knew exactly when midnight would strike, and she knew it would end.

PMDD doesn't always feel that predictable. Even when you know your cycle, it can still feel devastating. And when you're in it, your brain often convinces you that this version of life is permanent.

PMDD can make you feel as though you've lost yourself. But you haven't.

The version of you who feels hopeful, capable and worthy hasn't disappeared. She's still there, waiting for the storm to pass.

And until you can see her again, you deserve people who can hold onto that truth for you.

You are not the thoughts PMDD whispers to you. You are so much more than your "midnight."

#pmdd #pmddawareness #pmddsupport #cycleawareness #mentalhealthsupport

     View on Instagram
     |

3/6

<img class="wpzoom-swiper-image swiper-lazy" data-src="https://leighwrightcounselling.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/731787452_18057083591768700_3019958170352408892_n.jpg" alt="PMDD may influence part of your month, but it doesn't define who you are.

You are not "too much."
